Easy bacon waffle

SWEET AND SALTY BACON WAFFLE

This morning, I decided to do an experiment to a boring waffle, so my kids helped me with some recipe ideas... This is the  waffle  that the family created; The sweet n salty bacon bits.  It turned out to be very delicious and kids literally devoured it! Fun recipe for the family for breakfast time! The best part is no sticky syrup, kid friendly breakfast.

Here is a few ingredients you will need to acquire:

1 1/2 cup of flour
1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
4-5 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup of milk or butter milk
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Cooked coarsely chopped bacon

Preheat waffle iron. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In another bowl, beat together milk and eggs. Whisk liquid mixture into dry ingredients until just combined. Whisk in the vanilla extract, then stir in melted butter. Brush or spray on hot waffle iron with butter. Spoon about 1/2 cup of batter onto iron, then sprinkle on the bacon evenly. This first waffle will be the tester, adjust temperature to cook waffle until golden brown. Remove to plate and keep warm.
