Updated Five Spice Chicken Wings

Here is a new update for this five-spice chicken wings recipe. I came up with this recipe was when I randomly saw it on food network channel awhile back.
five-spice chicken wings
The five-spice was using for chicken drumsticks that were roast in the oven with different marinade. As for me, five-spice was a new condiment to me,
I have never use it before in my cooking so I do not really know how its taste exactly or the aroma of it. Nevertheless, I always like trying new recipes, spices, different taste that I can borrow that could make it into my own taste as well. When I saw five-spice drumstick roasted in oven recipe on foodnetwork channel television that taught. I tried, but did not like it; probably was because I put too much of the five-spice in it. The five-spice was too strong but I kind of like the aroma of the spice, so this is how I came to use it for my deep-fried chicken wings. It is so good, my husband and the kids love it. This chicken wings recipe is now a favorite in the family, and I am very excited to share with you all, so try it. I am sure you will love this recipe as much as we do. Here’s how;

ziploc marinade
  Ingredients
4.16 lbs fresh clean young chicken wings
2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
¼ tsp five-spice powder
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp pepper

Direction:  Place haft (2lbs) wings in a ziploc bag or as plastic container. Add haft of each ingredient to the wing then add the second of the wings in and second haft of each ingredient. By doing this just to make sure all of the spice are well mix in the chicken evenly. Seal the bag and then massage until all the wings are fully coat with marinade. Allow it to sit in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.

 Now, if you dont have paprika. Use tumeric (bot nghe) for substitute, this is just for adding extra color to our wings. Once the chicken wings are marinated, and ready to deep-fry. Heat 2 to 3 inches of cooking oil in a pot or a deep pan on medium high heat. Slowly slide in the wings, cook one side for 5 minutes
(see picture). Turn the wings over and cook for 4 minute then give another turn then let it cook for another 3 minute. ( Take Approx 10 to 12 minutes for the chicken wings to cook, depends on the temperature of our stove). Take out and place them on a paper tower or a wire rack to get rid of any excess oil. Enjoy!!
